Meet Abby, a Nebraska Leadership Facilitator

I think I have been facilitating since 2005 with my record breaking (at least in my area) Barbie collection. I have always had a special care about people and seeing them grow (probably why I had 3 Midge dolls - aka the pregnant ones that also came with a removable belly and baby), but not really physically like babies, but emotionally and personally too. This passion makes D4LC an obvious choice for me and I'm so happy to be here. I'm sure you will learn more about me through other blogs, but here are a few fun facts to get us started:

How did you find The Leadership Center and D4LC?: I was a past client.

Back in high school I was FLEETed by Maile and Kurt and then Maile stalked me (aka called my cell phone) and bribed (aka offered to pay me) to work at The Leadership Center for the summer. At first I was hesitant because at the time I had dreams to be a cattle nutritionist and had plans to work on a ranch all summer, but my sister told me "Abby, that sounds like a dream! You have to do it for just one summer at least!". That one summer has yet to end.

Favorite animal: Well behind cattle which are #1, SQUIRRELS

I always tell people I was the honorary president of NUTS - the UNL squirrel club because not only am I an avid squirrel feeder and admirer, I actually own a squirrel suit (thanks, Maile) and it is rare for it to not be in my car.

Favorite Food: Nutty Buddy's (specifically frozen)

Favorite Place: Utah!

Last summer my best friend and I wanted to see the whole state in 72 hours and we practically did it! We went as south as Moab to see Arches National park and then of course went back north to see the famous Salt Flats

Favorite TV Show: Grey's Anatomy

There will never be another TV show that is as great a Grey's, and specifically because I actually think if you listen to Meredith's monologues that you can truly learn a lot of life advice. Currently though I am absolutely obsessed with Suits (Louis is my favorite character)
